Psi Chi / Psychology Club
Psi Chi / Psychology Club is the official student organization associated with the Psychology department at Towson University. This organization is made up of members of Psi Chi (those accepted to the honors society) and Psychology club (those interested in the field of psychology) who work and operate as one to advance their goals. Psi Chi is the national honors society for the field of psychology. The purpose of Psi Chi is to encourage, stimulate, and maintain excellence in scholarship of the individual members in all fields, particularly in psychology, and to advance the science of psychology. Psychology students must be in the top 35% of their class to be eligible to join. Psychology club is open to any student interested in the field of psychology. The purpose of this club is to involve students in the field, provide a venue for networking and professional development, and increase student awareness of psychological issues. Members from both groups are equal partners in the organization. As faculty advisor, I am happy to answer any questions about the organization and encourage interested students to visit our website.
