Ergonomic Student Design Competition
The Ergonomics Design Competition for Student Teams provides an ideal opportunity for undergraduate and/or graduate level student teams to assess, design, and present their solutions to a challenging problem in applied ergonomics. The competition is sponsored by Auburn Engineers, Inc., and is enthusiastically supported by the larger applied ergonomics community.
In 2012, Towson University participated in the 6th annual competition and received Honorable Mentions. This was Towson Universities inaugural entry into the competition. The Towson team was one of 40 teams to compete and one of the only teams to be completely comprised of undergraduates. Towson’s entrance into the competition marked the second psychology team to compete since 2008 when my team from the University of Memphis competed in the 2nd annual competition. Since entering the competition in 2012, seven Towson University student teams have competed in the competition and receive Honorable Mentions every year.
